It all started with a mutual love for growing our own fresh vegetables and greens.

In 2020, in the midst of a worldwide pandemic, we decided to make a big change in our lives.  We downsized and consoldated our two homes, blended our family, and our love for gardening and fresh home grown food.  We bought a 6.5 acre farm in Gansevoort, New York and started a family operated market garden.

We completed the build of our two tunnels, amended the soil and prepared raised beds by hand.  We nurtured all of seasonal varieties of vegetables and greens from seed to sowing to sell off the property as well as at local farmers markets.

everything startED wITH GARLIC!

In October of 2020 we planted sixty pounds of beautiful German Red Garlic which we harvested July 2021.  Our garlic crop is curing and will be ready for sale in August 2021.

1800 Farmhouse

The farmhouse was built in 1800 and the 30x60 Barn in 1880.  I've traced the history of the property back to 1850 when it was owned by an Irish Immigrant, Patrick Johnson. Prior ownership has been difficult to uncover, but very likley it was property of Peter L. Mawney.  The Mawney gravesite sits right off the back left hand corner of the property with three marked grave stones from the early 1820's.
